Locals of these countries will not only be able to find your properties more easily, they will also be able to access them in their native language.

Your holiday home will be automatically listed on these new points of sale with no additional cost or action required — we simply wanted to share with you that your exposure on the world’s largest travel community just got a little broader.

TripAdvisor & Flipkey ‘Rated Excellent’

Every year TripAdvisor and Flipkey recognise their leading self-catering rental management clients. This year, based on the wonderful review of our past guests, Flipkey & TripAdvisor has recognised Gael Holiday Homes as one of those excellent companies.

To qualify businesses must maintain an average overall holiday property rating of four or higher out of a possible five, as reviewed by travellers on TripAdvisor.

Following the launch of our own guest rated quality assurance programme, a similar model to the TripAdvisor review system; we are delighted that guests are enjoying top quality self-catering accommodation in the Scottish Highlands and that our owners offer the best of accommodation combined with the best service levels. Without our clients ‘buying in’ to receiving guest feedback and acting upon it would not be possible to offer such a high standard of accommodation. HolidayLettings.co.uk trial

We have reached an agreement with HolidayLettings.co.uk to trial 25 of the Gael listed properties on their website for a 3 month period.

As part of TripAdvisor (an Expedia owned company), with 27 Million on the website per month we hope that this investment will convert into more bookings.

Each listing includes full property details, pictures and auto updated information for availability calendars and tariff tables (posted in from our Supercontrol booking system).

The present cost of advertising on the Holiday Lettings website is £219 per year per property. We hope that the trial will be successful and if it is our intention would be to list all properties on the Gael website on the Holiday Lettings website also. We will offer this free of charge* (terms may apply).

We will let you know how effective this trial is in generating qualified enquiries and bookings.

All Gael listed holiday accommodation now receives a FlipKey and TripAdvisor listing free of charge – saving you $239.88 (or around £150) per year.

Over the past few months, as part of our guest review programme, we have listed most of the Gael listed holiday accommodation on the US website Flipkey. As part of the package we automatically get a TripAdvisor listing for each property. We intend to invite guests to leave comments on the TripAdvisor website once we have received feedback and comments for the Gael website.

New holiday homes listed on Flipkey by us this week are – for the Gairloch area, Rona, Raasay, Minch View, Freyja, Ard Mara and Cairn Shiel (Kinlochewe). For Dornoch we have Cathy’s Cottage, for Aviemore Cook’s Cottage, Newton Steading for the Black Isle and Clock Cottage for Inverness.
